Premix is a Zimbabwean based ready mix concrete company, which was founded in 1978. It is part of the Gombe Group of companies and supplies ready mix concrete products throughout Zimbabwe.
READY MIX CONCRETE
Ready mix concrete is a mixture of aggregates, namely, stones, cement, sand and water; aggregates which are combined in amounts which are specified by the grade of concrete required for the specific project. There are different grades of concrete; different grades of concrete are determined by the amount of aggregates that are used to make that type of concrete. The grade of concrete that is used for a particular project depends on the strength of concrete that is required for that project. In order for us to provide you with a quotation for your project we usually require the grade of concrete you require (normally recommended by your project manager who may be an engineer or quantity surveyor), the quantity of concrete you require and the location of your project.
HOW DO WE DELIVER CONCRETE?
CONCRETE MIXER TRUCKS
Depending on the size of the delivery, we use two methods of concrete delivery. Either, specialised six cubic concrete mixer trucks, which keep the concrete at the appropriate grade of concrete. The daily capacity of this method of delivery is between 60 cubic metres and 100 cubic metres and a mixer truck containing contract is dispatched form our plant to our clients site.
MOBILE BATCHING PLANT
The other method of concrete we use is our mobile concrete batching plant, which has a daily capacity of between 100 cubic meters and 600 cubic metres and can be transported to any site in Zimbabwe. The advantages of using our mobile batching plant is that the raw materials are delivered to site and therefore we can dispense larger amounts of concrete without having to worry about any delays that may be caused by mixer trucks being delayed in traffic and so forth. This means that your construction project is delivered in a faster time period, with the same guarantee of quality.
